Christmas Downtown Squamish

Christmas is a time for friends, family and a community to gather and give thanks. Christmas Downtown Squamish bridges many small events into one large community celebration. It has grown to include Squamish Christmas Market, Squamish Santa Parade, Squamish Academy of Music performances, Squamish Arts Council kids Christmas craft event, and the lighting up of our public parks.

Christmas Caroling Downtown - Friday, December 14, 2012 noon to 3pm. This group will be caroling on Cleveland Ave and various other locations throughout the holiday season, as well as performing at the downtown Christmas Market. “Christmas was always my favourite time of year,”

Christmas Market - Friday, December 14, 2012 3pm-9pm. Pavilion Park and Cleveland Avenue, Downtown Squamish. Enjoy the sounds, smells, and sights of a traditional European outdoor Christmas market with a West Coast twist! Artisan crafts and unique gifts, Gift wrapping services and delicious local food to enjoy as you mingle with friends. Fun entertainment for the young and young at heart.

Santa Parade – Friday, December 14, 2012 at 7pm the parade route will start from the yacht club –
then up Cleveland and down 2nd Avenue back down to the Stan Clarke Park. At the end of the Parade there will be story time & hot chocolate in with Mrs. Clause. As well as a winter wonder play land for the kids.

Gingerbread Warming House - presented by the Squamish Arts Council Fri. Dec 14th 3-6:45pm – Hot Drinks, Treats, Kid Crafts, Christmas Lights and Music, Donations to the Food Bank gladly accepted. Held at the Squamish Arts Council Building on Cleveland Ave. at Pavilion Park.
