I wish to express my gratitude to the Squamish Nation for the wonderful reception they prepared to welcome the Olympic Torch into their community.
As a relatively newcomer to Squamish it was especially significant to me to have the opportunity to be at Totem Hall when the torch arrived. It was drummed in with great respect and then blessed by the elders.
The generosity of the Squamish Nation was evident as they gifted a beautifully woven headband to all those who came to Totem Hall to celebrate with them. Thank You. Hychka Siyam.
