New executive chef at Nita Lake Lodge

Village Vibe with Steven Hill

The recent return of Whistler’s incredible summer weather just screams for you to get outside and explore the resort and rediscover all the resort can offer — both old and new.

For the gourmet and gastronomically-inclined, the Nita Lake Lodge has a new executive chef, Michael Guy, helming the hotel’s Aura Restaurant, Cure Lounge and Patio and Fix Café and Deli.

Guy trained at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver and began his career at Bluewater Café, Raintree Restaurant and West Restaurant. He spent a year as the chef for the Canadian Ambassador in Rome before returning to B.C., where he worked as the sous chef at Whistler’s Araxi Restaurant and opened his own catering business, Western Promises Food, in Pemberton.

Guy is known for incorporating locally-sourced foods into his menus, meaning you get a taste of the Whistler area in every bite.
