The sad irony

EDITOR,

While the “newspapers are dead” remark brought Clemens to your mind, it brought Nietzsche to mine (“Alive and kickin’,” Editorial, Chief, June 7).

At one point in time, there were T-shirts printed with “God is dead [signed] Nietzsche.” Some folks even believed it.

Time passed and new T-shirts were printed saying, “Nietzsche is dead [signed] GOD.”

It is sadly ironic that someday that speaker’s obituary will no doubt be published in the newspaper.

Best wishes for your continued success.
