Taxing question

Re. Results of online poll on HST/PST question, Chief, May 24.

Amazing that 192 people had no idea what was right or wrong with sales tax of any kind. Sixteen apparently didn’t even care. Thirty sat on the fence as though that was an opinion.

For 143 there was no real distinction between any kind of sales tax for they seemed to want one or the other.

All sales tax is wrong for it is inefficient, unfair and inflationary and preferred by the wealthy who know it will cost them less than income tax, unlike those of lesser income.
