RMOW announces rest of summer concert series

Chantal Kreviazuk will be performing free in Whistler on July 28 as part of the Whistler Presents free concert.

The RMOW have announced the rest of the lineup for the Whistle Presents free concert series.

Following the series kicking off this past weekend, the muni has revealed the rest of the year's programming.

With Wide Mouth Mason and Pacifika and Jill Barber set to play this weekend (July 6 and 7), the next free concert will feature Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO) over two days on July 20 and 21. Both shows will take place at 8 p.m.

Following the VSO, the next weekend (July 27 and 28) will see The Mocking Bird and Wil perform on the first night and Chantal Kreviazuk the second.

In August, the first of the Whistler Presents shows kicks off on Aug. 3 with Jason McCoy, which will be followed by Spirit of the West and Great Lake Swimmers playing on Aug. 4 and 5 respectively.

The Vince Vaccaro Band and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings Round out the month with an Aug. 31 show, which will be followed by The Boom Booms and Kytami performing the next night on Sept. 1.

Emmanual Jal ends the summer concert series with a Sept. 2 performance the following day.

All concerts will take place in Whistler Olympic Plaza and except for the VSO shows, will start at 8:30 p.m. the day of.

Additionally, there will be two free concerts aimed at children as part of the program, the first of which will take place on July 13 and will feature The Monkey Bunch.

The second children's show will be held the following day, July 14, and will feature Locarno.

Both kids shows will be held at Village Square, with The Monkey Bunch show at 7 p.m. and Locarno at 8 p.m.
