The Sea to Sky Titans Pee Wee football team extended its undefeated streak on Sunday (Sept. 23) with an 18-6 win over the West Vancouver Vikings.
Wide receiver Luke Haasen opened the scoring with a 30-yard touchdown grab and Devon Bailey added two more touchdowns in the win. The trio of Michael Lane, Jhett Verner and Scott Friestadt led the defence.
The Titans improved to two wins and one tie. The club also received word that it will take to the field at B.C. Place for a short exhibition game against the Vikings before the B.C. Lions-Calgary Stampeders CFL game.
The Pee Wees will next take on the Colts on Sunday (Sept. 30) at Norgate Park in North Vancouver.
Meanwhile, the Sea to Sky Titans Minor team rallied late in the game, but it wasn’t enough as they lost 26-13 to the North Vancouver Colts. Nolan Welsh scored late in the fourth quarter and Nolan Robinson Nault followed up on the next defensive stand with a stripped ball that he returned for a touchdown. Newcomer Luka Morissette led the defence with four sacks.
The Minors will look to snap the winless streak next Sunday against the Raiders at Minoru Park in Richmond.
