‘Shocked’ at Feds’ shenanigans

EDITOR,

I never thought it would happen to me but it has — my insides are screaming “aaaahhhh” as I throw my arms up in the sky in my mind and wonder what the heck I can do about Harper and Weston and these characters in the Conservative Party that have decided to impose their will upon us and be dictators. From what I’ve read this China free trade deal set to be finalized Oct. 31 sounds scary, even treasonous, and what we need is some national discussion and debate to learn about it and debate it. For example, will it really allow the Chinese government to sue the B.C. government if our government decides it wants to protect our province from oil spills from the Northern Gateway pipeline and tanker project? From what I’ve read, yes, and behind closed doors, and that is all ridiculous. Harper, like his omnibus budget bill this past spring, is ramming this trade deal down our throats and up the other end, preventing MPs in Ottawa and anyone else debating the ramifications, and what can we do about it? It would appear that we have no ability to stop this ramming and do anything other than yell and scream “how did we get a dictator?” and “can we have an MP in this corridor that cares about more than getting people to go jogging?” I’m shocked at this intrusion and wonder when we as a country are going to stand up and show this wacko in Ottawa who is boss.
