Pee-Wee, Minor teams end GSL season with wins

The Sea to Sky Pee-Wee Titans finished off the GSL season on a high note, blanking the North Vancouver Vikings 19-0 in North Vancouver on Monday (Nov. 12).

Titans running back Scott Freistadt ran 40 yards on the team’s opening drive for a touchdown and wide receiver Luke Haassen connected with quarterback Adam Klimchuck-Brown for the team’s other major.

The Pee-Wees finished the season with a record of six wins, three losses and one tie, tied for second place in their division. The team will now move on to the playoffs but full postseason details were not available by press time.

Meanwhile, the Sea to Sky Minor Titans also ended their season in positive fashion with a 25-19 win over the North Vancouver Colts on Monday. Nolan Welsh scored three rushing touchdown in the win, with Hunter Verner also adding a major on a pass from quarterback Jack Forsyth.

The Minors’ final record improved to two wins and eight losses for the season but the club failed to qualify for the playoffs. For more information on both teams, visit www.gslfootball.ca.
