A huge welcome to Ricky’s, Squamish’s newest restaurant, now open in Garibaldi Village Mall, offering delicious family fare served amid friendly surroundings.

“We are delighted to extend the Ricky’s brand to Squamish and promise a great dining experience to local residents and travellers alike who enjoy the many amenities and attractions along the Sea to Sky Highway,” said Frank Di Benedetto, CEO of Frankie’s Burger Enterprises, the Ricky’s All Day Grill chain and the Fatburger franchisor for Canada…

Congratulations to Kelly Meakin, former manager of Save-On-Foods, on her recent move to PriceSmart Foods in North Vancouver. For the 2 ½ years that Kelly was here, she contributed a tremendous amount of support to local community events and organizations, assisting with donations for fundraisers, and overall support of local causes. Kelly’s friendly and giving spirit will be missed by all. We wish her the best of luck and success in her future!…

The number of programs offered at Cap U is growing! Beginning in January 2013, a new program called “Business in Tourism” will be offered at the university. This is a part-time certificate that offers flexibility for people who are working and those looking to begin their studies. There are six courses in the program both face-to-face and mixed mode format (one week in class, one week online).

This new program complements the current lineup of successful programs including the Business Administration Certificate and Wilderness Leadership Certificate. Cap U strives to provide a balance of courses and delivery types to fit the needs of the corridor.  For more information or to apply visit www.capilanou.ca/squamish
