United boys capture Silver Cup

Parm Shergill and Hunter Verner scored goals as the Squamish United U14 boys travel soccer team beat the North Vancouver Leopards 2-0 to win the Silver Cup tournament crown on Sunday (Feb. 3) at Ambleside Park.

Squamish United, coached by David Mell, also defeated the North Vancouver Torrent 3-0 in a Four-District Silver 1 Division game on Saturday (Feb. 2) in Deep Cove. Isaac Howell, Nikki Tehara and Scott Hanlon scored for Squamish. Squamish United sits atop the division standings with a record of seven wins, one loss and one tie.
