Those who want to help clean up the shoreline around Squamish’s downtown peninsula are invited to be part of the 2013 Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup next week.
The event, hosted by Squamish Terminals and the District of Squamish, is planned next Wednesday (Sept. 18) from 4 to 6 p.m. The areas to be picked free of litter and other debris include the Squamish Estuary, the Squamish Spit, the Squamish Oceanfront lands and the area in and around Squamish Terminals.
The cleanup will be followed by a volunteer appreciation barbecue. To participate, please meet at 4 p.m. at the O’Siyam Pavilion at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and Main Street.
