Rain has been the only thing capable of stopping the Ellis Moving Eagles from picking up a win in the Howe Sound Menís Soccer League (HSMSL).
The heavy rain on the weekend washed out the Eaglesí scheduled game against Ocean Sun on Sunday (Sept. 29) but it didnít prevent the early games from occurring.
B&B Excavating returned to its winning ways with a 4-0 win over Sikh Temple in the rain. It was the Eagles who spoiled a long undefeated streak for B&B in Week 2 but two goals from Gary OíNeil and singles from Jared and Taran Bir snagged the win for B&B.
The defending champs improved to two wins and one loss on the season. Temple fell to two wins and two losses.
The other early game saw Galileo pick up a default win over Lilwat FC, who failed to field enough players. Galileo moved to two wins and two losses, while Lilwat remains winless in three matches.
HSMSL action returns on Sunday (Oct. 5), with the Eagles taking on Lilwat, Sikh Temple facing Galileo and B&B Excavating challenging Ocean Sun. All games are scheduled to occur at Brennan Park.
