The defending Howe Sound Menís Soccer League (HSMSL) champions continued their winning ways but still trail the Ellis Moving Eagles after Week 5 league action on Sunday (Oct. 6).
B&B Excavating showed off its offensive depth in a 7-1 victory over Ocean Sun, with five different players scoring goals. Richard Collins and Hans Schranz scored twice, with Gary OíNeil, Cole Smith and Jordan OíNeil adding singles. Will Stoop spoiled B&Bís shutout bid, tallying Ocean Sunís lone goal.
The defending champs improved to three wins and one loss, while Ocean Sun fell to one win and three losses.
In other league action, Sikh Temple posted a 6-0 win over Galileo. Nevin Benning picked up a hat trick in the win, with Adam Bir, Aaron Rushant and Justin Cheema adding singles. Temple has been an offensive juggernaut early in the season, as theyíve scored 26 goals in only five games.
Galileo dropped to two wins and three losses, while Templeís record sits at three wins and two losses.
The dayís final game saw the Ellis Moving Eagles defeat Lilwat FC via default. The Eagles remain undefeated and have yet to lose or tie in four games.
Week 6 action features the Eagles taking on Temple, B&B battling Galileo and Ocean Sun challenging Lilwat.
