Did you see a gaggle of smart and engaged youth walking around Squamish this weekend?
Sixty-five youth delegates from around the province were in town for the 2018 Showcase, the highlight of this year's BC Provincial Heritage Fair.
Each year, more than 4,000 students in Grades 4 to 10  participate in School Heritage Fairs.

Selected students move on from their school fair to a Regional Heritage Fair where they are judged and evaluated on their research, knowledge and oral presentation of their chosen topic.
Adjudicators pick students from each Regional Heritage Fair to move on to represent their community, their school and their region at the Provincial Heritage Fair.
Each year the BC Provincial Fair is held in a different region of the province. This year, Squamish was chosen to host the event.
The delegates stayed on the Quest University campus and in addition to showcasing their work, they took in a walking tour of the waterfront and made a trip to the Britannia Mine Museum.
