Squamish and seemingly everywhere else enjoyed quite the lightshow this past weekend, with an intense geomagnetic storm basking communities in the greens and purples of the aurora borealis, or the Northern Lights.
The storm is one of the strongest to hit Earth in years, with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the US anticipating the lights could be seen as far south as California, while the National Weather Service (NWS) reported sightings in Louisiana.
The lights are expected to be visible throughout this week, weather permitting.
For those that missed it, here's some pictures from Friday and Saturday capturing the spectacle.
