More than 70 vendors at Refresh Market Saturday

Seventh edition of popular Squamish indie market back at railway park
Refresh Market

Squamish’s biggest indie marketplace is back.

Refresh Market returns to the West Coast Heritage Railway Park on Saturday (April 25), when more than 70 vendors from Whistler to Metro Vancouver will be displaying their wares.

The market offers a wide selection of vintage, handmade and curated goods to go along with local food favourites and boutique pop-ups. The event also features live music; artists appearing on Saturday include Squamish’s Jana

Lahti, Vancouver’s Tegan Wahlgren and Vancouver’s Stephanie Chatman.

Admission to the event is $2, and the first 50 people through the door receive a free swag bag with goodies from a variety of the vendors.

It’s the seventh Refresh Market for organizers Rachel Boguski and Shannon Lorenz, who debuted the concept back in the winter of 2012. The biannual event has continued to grow since that very first market and now boasts a packed line-up of vendors for Saturday’s market.

The Refresh brand also expanded in March to include a special kids’ market.

Some of the vendors on Saturday include Squamish’s Wild and Heart, Vancouver’s London Fields Shoppe, the hat company Nine O’Clock Gun, and others.

Brand new for this Saturday’s market is a draw for two passes to the Squamish Valley Music Festival this summer. All proceeds from the draw will go towards Squamish Helping Hands Society.

The market will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more, visit www.refreshmarket.ca.
