Nothing of value stolen, but RCMP investigating

Squamish RCMP is investigating after an early morning break-in at Brennan Park Recreation Centre on Tuesday.

District staff discovered the break-in when they arrived to work at 5 a.m., according to Christina Moore, spokesperson for the District.

One of the windows between the arena lobby and the customer service area was broken, presumably to gain entry into the customer service area, Moore added.

Though cupboards were rummaged through and the ATM was accessed, nothing of value seems to have been stolen and no private information was breached.

The ATM has been removed for servicing.

Customer service was unavailable for a few hours Tuesday morning, but the centre was up and running as normal later in the day.
