Is owning a new build on the SkyRidge development in Squamish your dream come true? Ticket holders for the 2017 BC Children’s Hospital Dream Lottery will have a slim chance to win that prize and a guarantee to contribute to a worthy cause.

The hospital holds it’s dream lottery three times a year, and the fall edition includes a massive new six-bedroom house — in Squamish.

The draw for the grand prizes is Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017.

There are eight grand prizes in this year’s November draw, including homes in Squamish, Surrey, Crescent Beach, Tsawwassen, Vancouver, North Vancouver and Sooke. The eighth prize is $2.2-million tax-free cash. “Funds raised through the Dream Lottery allows BC Children’s Hospital to invest in innovative research, which translates into better health outcomes for BC’s kids,” said spokesperson Pamela Smith.

“We have a vision that every child is healthy and able to fulfill their hopes and dreams,” she said.

The dream home in Squamish is a new build located at 1990 Dowad Drive in the new Skyridge development north of the Garibaldi Highlands. The home would be move-in ready for the lucky winner in February 2018.

It has six bedrooms, four bedroom and two half bathrooms. Altogether, the home is close to 4,000 square feet.

The prize includes $400,000 in cash. If that wasn’t quite enough, the new homeowners will be able to explore Squamish with a brand new BMW 530e and a Honda Ridgeline, both included in the prize package.

The prizes for the Squamish prize package are supplied by Sunnycrest Homes, Wentworth Malpass and Hunter, Brian Jessel BMW and Jonker Honda.

The lottery campaign describes Squamish as “one of the greatest natural locations in the world” and an “outdoor adventure seeker’s dream.” The lottery is only open to people living in B.C.

Chances of winning a grand prize are 1 in 295,000.

The fundraiser supports research at the Children’s Hospital into the prevention, treatment and cure of childhood illnesses. Since BC Children’s Hospital’s first lottery held in 2002, the campaigns have raised over $64-million.
