Uttering threats 

Balbir Singh Sehra, 53, of Squamish was arrested Monday June 22 and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm after threatening staff at District of Squamish Municipal Hall, according to Squamish RCMP.  The suspect remains in custody, police said.

Breach of probation 

A man was arrested at Evans Lake Saturday June 27, for being in breach of probation related to a conviction for a sexual assault, police said.  He was set to appear in court on Monday.

Man with rifle 

A young man was arrested and interviewed by officers after he was found carrying a rifle in the area of Government Road and Axen Road Tuesday June 23, police said. The suspect cooperated immediately when police told him to put the rifle down, according to RCMP.  The suspect was released without any charges, but police are discussing the case with Crown Counsel to determine if any charges should be considered, RCMP said.

Theft of truck

Police are searching for a man suspected of stealing a truck on Thursday June 25, according to Squamish RCMP. The man is described by police as 16 years old and about 5 foot 9 inches tall. He has a darker complexion and short hair and was wearing a dark hat backwards. Squamish RCMP received a complaint at 3:05 a.m. of a truck stolen from the driveway at a residence in the 41700 block Cottonwood Road. The complainant heard her husband’s 2006 GMC Sierra truck – its keys had recently been lost – drive out of the driveway, police said. Moments after the truck was stolen it was involved in a collision at Judd Road and Maple Drive. The vehicle was in the ditch on the north side of Judd Road when police arrived.  The vehicle was secured for forensic examination and the investigation is on-going, police said.

Tires stolen 

Four off-road tires mounted on rims were stolen overnight from a residence in the 40000 block of Government Road, on Friday June 26.  The tires are 35-inch “mud boggers” mounted on black Ford, 15-inch rims and had been stored underneath a trailer, according to police.

 Car stolen 

A white 2007 Mazda 3 was stolen overnight Friday June 26 from the driveway of a residence in the 39000 block Kingfisher Road, police said.  A wallet containing identification and credit cards, as well as some welding equipment, were stolen from the car, according to Squamish RCMP.  One of the credit cards was used later in the night and police officers are also investigating this.  A second vehicle at a neighbouring residence was also rummaged through, police report.
