Car keyed

On the same day, Aug. 19, police received a report of a vehicle being damaged while parked in the rear carport of a residence in the 40000 block of Diamond Head Rd.

The 2007 Pontiac G5 had been keyed extensively and the driver’s side window had been smashed. Nothing was apparently stolen.

Vehicle broken into

Also on Aug. 19, police were called out to a report of a tow truck being broken into overnight while parked at a company lot in the 1100 block of Enterprise Way.

A defective window was targeted to gain entry and a GPS unit and cash were stolen. No damage was done to a fence surrounding the property, the suspect apparently climbing over the fence to access the lot.

Houses targeted

On Wednesday,  Aug. 20, police received a report of a storage locker being broken into at a residential complex in the 1400 block of Pemberton Ave.

Sometime over the past two weeks the storage locker in the underground parking area was targeted, and a Coleman two-cabin tent worth approximately $250, fishing gear and several coats were stolen.

Items were seized for examination by the Police Forensic Identification Section for fingerprints.

Police seize drugs

On Saturday, Aug. 23, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 38000 block of Hemlock Ave., a location familiar to local police.

At the scene a 33-year-old resident reported having been sprayed with bear spray by a 35-year-old male acquaintance, possibly over a debt owed. The suspect had fled the area and was not located that evening. Both individuals are well known to local police.

On Monday, Aug. 25, police caught up with the suspect and arrested him.

A quantity of drugs and related paraphernalia was found in his possession, indicative of possible drug trafficking activities. A warrant was later executed at the suspect’s home and police seized a quantity of drugs, related paraphernalia, numerous replica guns and stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing and charges of assault, threatening, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of stolen property are being pursued.
