Woodfibre LNG and FortisBC have reopened their Squamish Community Office downtown after a deliberate fire in November forced the companies to move to another location.

The fire was set in the early morning of Nov. 3 and the arson is still under investigation by the RCMP.

“On behalf of Woodfibre LNG and FortisBC, we’d like to thank everyone who helped get us back into our Community Office,” said Byng Giraud of Woodfibre LNG in a press release.

No arrests have been made for setting the fire.

In November, surveillance video was obtained of the suspect, who is believed to be between 5-foot 9-inches and 6-foot one-inch tall and weigh 170 to 190 pounds.

It isn't possible to tell if the suspect is a man or a woman based on the video, but he or she was wearing a dark rain jacket, jeans and boots, and was on foot on Cleveland Avenue at 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 3. The person could have been burned from getting too close to the fire.

The Community Office is located at 38134 Cleveland Ave. It is open Wednesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
