Start the season of giving this year with The Fairmont Chateau Whistler on December 1st, 2012 with an afternoon of fun for the whole family. All members of the community are invited to stop by the hotel and decorate their very own Christmas Candy apple for a $5 donation or non-perishable food item for the Whistler Food Bank. . Choose from your favourite Christmas characters and then enjoy the fruits of your labour, while giving back to those in need in our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

A Showcase of the Submissions
This summer, people were seeing mining through a new lens; a camera lens.
Some amazing submissions came in for each of the three subject categories in the Mineral Images Photo Competition. We have taken the best of these and put them on display in the historic Machine Shop for the 2012 Fall exhibit.
See how other people view Mined Materials, Rocks & Landscapes, and Human-Environment Interactions.
On display until January. The exhibit is free for members or with regular museum admission.
