Days after her 2015 Ironman Whistler female age 40-44 division result was disqualified, another past win of Squamish triathlete Julie Miller has been stripped.

Miller’s result for the 2014 Subaru Vancouver Triathlon (SVT) now reads as disqualified, with no times recorded for any of the stages.

She was originally awarded the win in her division at the race.

The disqualification of the race was news to Miller, who told The Squamish Chief she was not informed of the change in her standing at the event.

“This is the first I have heard of this,” Miller said in an email. “No one has contacted me to date about any of this.”

Miller was originally 28th overall at the SVT, clocking in at 4:46:23. She was ranked as the fifth fastest female at the race, which featured 73 other women.

In light of these two disqualifications, Miller’s coach, Bjoern Ossenbrink, announced that he is no longer working with her.

“I have cut my ties from Julie Miller,” Ossenbrink stated on the Slow Twitch triathlon message forum.

Ironman Canada did not respond to a request for comment from The Squamish Chief on the SVT disqualification and on whether Miller will be allowed to compete in future Ironman events.
