The medals keep coming for Squamish’s Serena Ly.

The Squamish Ninja instructor added to her wares with a gold medal win in the black belt division at the 2015 BC Open Taekwondo in Richmond on Saturday, June 20.

Ly won her first match 4-1 and then defeated her opponent in the second match 9-3.

It’s the third competitive Taekwondo event for Ly, who has been training in the martial art for just shy of two years.

She remains undefeated in Taekwondo competitive events. Back in March, Ly won a gold in Taekwondo sparring at the BC Provincials.

Those wanting to follow in Ly’s footsteps can have the opportunity to train with her and instructor Carl Fortin this fall. Flow Training Centre, the pair’s new gym, is offering a Taekwondo class starting in September.
