Saanich police caught a man inside a Tolmie Avenue business early Sunday after the alarm had been set off.
There were signs of someone having gained entry when they arrived after being alerted about 4:30 a.m.
The man was found to be in possession of mail belonging to the business and also had some electronics of undetermined ownership.
A 32-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court in August.
