Quest professors holding a primer for the upcoming referendum tonight

Quest University professors will be explaining the different voting systems people can choose from in the upcoming provincial referendum.

Shortly after the municipal elections, residents across the province will receive voting packages asking them if they want to keep the current first-past-the-post system or scrap it in favour of an proportional system.

There will be a number of proportional voting systems to choose from, and professors Doug Munroe and Kaija Belfry Munroe of Quest University will be explaining the differences tonight at the Squamish Public Library.

The event is happening on Oct. 11 at the Squamish Public Library from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
