Squamish landscapes take centre stage at new exhibit

Angela Muellers is showing her artwork at the Brackendale Art Gallery exhibit “Squamish Places & Faces” for the month of November.

Muellers, a Squamish resident who enjoys exploring the outdoors, began painting a child with her grandfather and later studied at the Victoria College of Art with a focus on modern art.

You will notice many Sea to Sky landscapes in her collection.

“Living in a mountain valley gives one the opportunity to endlessly explore local forests and peaks. Every day produces some new wonder with seasonal and light changes. Attempts are made to go deep into the work and create many layers of space, form, and light,” she wrote on her website, angelamuellers.com.

The Brackendale Art Gallery is open weekends from noon to 10 p.m. and holidays from noon to 5 p.m.
