Fashion — for a good cause.

On April 23, professional models will be ready to hit the runway, decked out by local finds from Pearl's Value and Vintage in Squamish.

It's the inaugural Pearl's on the Runway fundraiser for the Howe Sound Women's Centre, which will be held at Norman Rudy's on April 23. The fashion show will also host a silent auction and a pop-up boutique of some of the unique finds from Pearl's. The funds raised will go toward HSWC's work to support the survivors of gender-based violence in the Sea to Sky Corridor.

While the proceeds from the vintage and gently used discoveries at Pearl's benefit the HSWC programs year-round, this event hopes to bring in even more support. Between the Squamish and Whistler women centre locations, there are 5,000 visits from people seeking help annually. HSWC has been helping the Sea to Sky Community for 35 years.

Tickets can be found at www.showpass.com/hswc-pearls-on-the-runway.
