Mounties in Surrey have issued a public warning not to interact with Harkirat Jhutty (left), 22, and Karnvir Garcha (right), 24.

Surrey RCMP have revealed the identity of two individuals connected to Lower Mainland gang activity as part of a public safety warning.

Photos of Harkirat Jhutty, 22, and Karnvir Garcha, 24, have been shared with the public so that family, friends, associates, and others can take measures to protect their personal safety.

RCMP and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) believe the two individuals pose a threat because of their involvement with gang activity and the associated violence.

Police say that due to their association with gang activity, the drug trade and shootings, anyone connected to or in proximity to them may be putting themselves at risk.

"The individuals identified have been informed by police of credible threats to their safety, but the threat doesn’t just place them at risk, it poses a risk to anyone who associates with them or anyone who is in proximity to them," says Surrey RCMP's Insp. Bal Hansra in a recent press release.

Anyone with knowledge of violent incidents or suspicious activity is asked to call 911.
