44% of eligible Burnaby children have received one dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Highest percentage in Fraser Health belongs to New Westminster

Almost 30% of children aged 5-11 have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

More eligible children in Burnaby are getting vaccinated against COVID-19. 

According to the BCCDC COVID-19 surveillance dashboard, 44% of children aged 5-11 have received their first dose as of Jan. 4, 2022, up from 42% as of Dec. 31, 2021. 

Burnaby is tied with the Tri-Cities, while New Westminster has the highest rate in Fraser Health at 48%.

The Central Coast, located in Vancouver Coastal Health, continues to have the highest percentage in B.C. at 75%.
