North Vancouver RCMP are investigating a hit and run that resulted in a pedestrian being struck in a marked crosswalk Tuesday evening (June 2).

The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. as a man was crossing Lonsdale Avenue at Keith Road.

A 38-year-old man was struck and was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Witnesses in the area saw the vehicle strike the man before driving off, said Sgt. Peter DeVries, spokesman for the RCMP.

Officers are continuing the investigation, he said.
