Police were called to the 6200-block of McKay Avenue in Burnaby for a reported robbery.

Mounties are looking for two men in connection with a robbery at a Station Square business near Metrotown in Burnaby on Dec. 28.

On Wednesday around 4:45 p.m., Burnaby RCMP officers responded to a reported robbery in the 6200-block of McKay Avenue, according to Burnaby RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Kalanj.

"The victim had been pepper sprayed by two male suspects," Kalanj told the NOW in an emailed statement. "The suspects took a game console from the victim and fled the area."

Kalanj said the victim was uninjured other than the effects of the pepper spray.

The RCMP did not name the business where the reported robbery occurred.

Police advised the business to evacuate "due to the strong concentration of pepper spray around the entrance."

Police are using video surveillance from the area to attempt to identify the suspects, according to Kalanj.
