A pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be held at Richmond Night Market this weekend.

People heading to the Richmond Night Market this weekend will also be able to get their first or second COVID-19 vaccine dose during their visit.

Vancouver Coastal Health is holding a pop-up vaccine clinic at the night market on Friday, Aug. 6 and Saturday, Aug. 7 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

First doses will be offered to those aged 12 and older, while second doses will be available to people who received their first shot at least 49 days ago.

VCH previously told the Richmond News that the pop-up clinic is part of the province-wide Vax for BC campaign, where drop-in events, “vax vans” and mobile clinics will be set up in communities across B.C. to help get more people vaccinated with their first and second doses.

As of Aug. 2, 84 per cent of Richmondites aged 12 and older have received their first dose, and 64 per cent have received their second dose.

Across B.C., 81.7 per cent of people have received their first dose, and 68.4 per cent have received their second dose, as of Thursday.
