Local athletes Susko, Linton win medals in luge, freestyle skiing

Welcome back to your weekly recap of Sea to Sky athletes and their exploits at home and abroad. 

We are two years out from the 2025 Invictus Games, and Whistler recently hosted a camp to familiarize team managers with adaptive winter sports.

Rising local luge star Embyr-Lee Susko earned three victories at the Canadian Championships on home ice.

Freestyle Whistler skier Jessica Linton won bronze on the Nor-Am circuit, while teammates Maya Mikkelsen and Sam Cordell placed fifth. 

Whistler Blackcomb welcomed the latest stop on the Freeride World Tour (FWT) Challenger Series.

Marielle Thompson narrowly missed out on another World Cup podium.

Two minor hockey teams with the Sea to Sky Bears are going to Provincials in South Delta and Kelowna. 

Squamish-based freestyle skier Ty Reichert is joining several of his peers at the BC Winter Games later this month.
