90-120mm of rain will hit Squamish by tomorrow morning: Environment Canada

Between 90 to 120 millimetres total rainfall is expected to hit Squamish by tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, according to Environment Canada.

A rainfall warning as been issued for the Howe Sound area, including Squamish.

Environment Canada warns that heavy rain can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Slow down, watch for tail light and be prepared to stop. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
