CN Rail to crack down on illegal parking

Drivers have until Feb. 1 to remove their vehicles from Government Road property
1
This past spring residents in the area complained about a flood of RVs and trailers being parked on the site.

CN Rail will be going to greater lengths to bar illegal parking on its property.

This development is a response to a series of ongoing complaints about illegal parking in the area.

In the coming weeks, CN staff will be putting up signs and concrete barriers along its property on Government Road between Mamquam Road and the entrance to Amblepath and Spiral, and at the gravel lot across from Rivers Walk.

As of Feb. 1 next year, you’d better think twice before parking in the area.

At that date, any vehicles parked in the area will be towed immediately, at the owner’s expense.

As an alternative, street parking is available on Mamquam Road and side streets within the District of the Squamish. Parking in the adjacent bike lanes is not permitted.
