Durex has issued a Canada-wide recall for specific batches of its condoms claiming that they are not, “passing our stringent shelf-life durability tests.”

According to Health Canada, the condoms are not expected to meet the registered burst pressure specification at end of shelf-life. According to the department, it is issuing the condom recall, “following observation of variable burst pressure performance of Polyisoprene Condoms manufactured during 2017.”

The condom manufacturer issued a voluntary recall of two of its Real Feel condoms on December 27, but advises consumers that there, “is no reason to be worried” if they recently used some of the product in question.

They ask that people return the following unused product:

  • Durex Real Feel Extra Lubricated 10ct condoms (UPC 0 67981 98715 7)
  • and/or Durex Real Feel 20ct condums (UPC 0 67981 97177 4) with the batch numbers 1000443254, 1000362619, 1000355040, 1000362809, 1000356816

Furthermore, they advise that people stop using the above products. In exchange for the unused condoms, Durex says happily either give you a full refund for the original pack, or some alternative products of at least the same value.
