The District is awarding a $300,000 contract to Urban Systems to continue work on the Integrated Stormwater Management Plan.
On Sept. 3, council voted unanimously in favour of awarding the contract.
This work will build on the first phase of the plan, which identified three priority catchments that would each get their own stormwater management plans.
The contract will go towards developing a plan for the Howe Sound catchment, which generally encompasses all developed neighbourhoods south of the Mamquam River.
Among other things, this work will prepare an integrated stormwater management plan that has a 20-year capital plan, a staff report says.
