No one was hurt in a house fire that erupted on Sunday afternoon, according to Squamish Fire Rescue.
Flames were seen billowing from the two-storey light blue home in the 4,000-block of Government Road, at about 4 p.m.
Quickly on the scene were at least two fire trucks and approximately nine firefighters, according to bystander John Buchanan.
Fire Chief Bill Stoner said Monday that by 4:32 p.m. Sunday, the fire was under control.
A woman who said she is related to the home's owners and lives a few houses down said on Facebook that the fire was sparked by oil in the kitchen.
