Vehicle crashes into gate
A driver was arrested after a vehicle allegedly crashed into a gate on Ocean Point Drive in Lions Bay on Dec. 4.
Police say officers found the suspect parked along Highway 99 at Britannia Beach.
The driver was released the next day with various Motor Vehicle Offence Violations including: Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident and Fail to Stop at an Accident Resulting in Property Damage.
Another vehicle torched
Police say it’s the second time in two weeks a vehicle was found burned outside of Squamish.
On Dec. 9, firefighters told Squamish RCMP there was a suspicious vehicle fire on Squamish Valley Road.
Police found a white 2004 Cadillac on fire.
Officers say the vehicle was stolen in North Vancouver that day from the 200-block of West 1st Street.
RCMP are asking anyone with information to call the Squamish detachment or Crimestoppers.
