Squamish breaks temperature record

New all-time high established for Aug. 8

We did it!

Squamish broke its all-time high temperature for the date of Aug. 8 yesterday when temperatures soared to 33.2 C.

The previous benchmark high for the date of Aug. 8 was set in 1960 with a temperature of 32.2 C.

A heat warning is still in effect as of today, as temperatures are expected to reach 33 C.

However, the hot weather anticipated in the next few hours isn't expected break any records.
