Free the crabs

Police freed crabs that were in unauthorized traps.

Officers say a boat patrol found multiple crab traps were attached to unidentified buoys in the Squamish Harbour on June 4.

Under the Fisheries Act, police say, all traps must be labelled with identification.

 

Wallet found

Police found a leather wallet in downtown and are wondering if it’s yours.

Found on June 8, it contained cash but no identification.

 

Motorcycle stolen, plate recovered

A motorcycle was stolen from the 38000-block of Westway Avenue sometime between June 6 and June 9, police say.

The motorcycle had a full tank of gas and also a wheel lock.

The licence plate was recovered outside of Squamish, however, the motorcycle has yet to be located.
