Overdose attended

Police administered Narcan to a hotel guest who overdosed on drugs on March 25.

Just before, officers were told a person at a local hotel was in medical distress.

BC Ambulance later arrived.

Prohibited driver charged

A driver has been charged with prohibited driving, and their vehicle has been impounded for a week.

RCMP say they located the prohibited driver at a local fast-food restaurant drive-thru on March 25.

After the suspect left the drive-thru, officers stopped the driver and found they were prohibited from driving.

Alleged theft of stereo

A person has been arrested for theft under $5,000 and for breaching their probation order.

Officers allege a suspect took a Monster Rockin Roller Stereo from a business on the 1300-block of Pemberton Avenue without paying for it.

Police say the individual ran out of the store and a Good Samaritan took a photo of the person. Officers were then able to identify the suspect in the picture.

The stereo is still missing, and police are asking anyone who knows where it may be to contact them.

Driver of allegedly stolen vehicle arrested

Police have arrested a driver for flight from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, break and enter, theft of a vehicle and mischief under $5,000.

Officers say on March 30, RCMP were informed of a suspected impaired driver on a forest service road in Squamish.

Police say the driver was speeding and driving erratically. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but were unable to.

RCMP later located the vehicle and arrested the owner.

They were later told the vehicle had recently been impounded at a tow yard and that someone had recently stolen the vehicle out of the lot, damaging the gate in the process.

Vehicle stolen

RCMP say a stolen car was discovered on fire on April 2 in a parking lot in the 39000-block of Government Road.

The vehicle, a red 2002 Subaru Impreza, was believed to be stolen between March 28 and 29 from the 1000-block of Centennial Way.

Police are looking for any witnesses to the theft and the fire and to report it to Squamish RCMP.
