Take a hike!

Squamish has some of the most prolific hiking and walking groups that you can find in any community.

With three clubs dedicated to trekking through the outdoors, you’ll find plenty to do if getting around on two feet is your preferred method of transportation.

- The Tantalus Walking Group will meet this week on Sept. 25 at Alice Lake. Meet at the large parking lot for a walk around lake.

They’ll also be walking on Sept. 27 at Woodpecker Trail. Go past the Railway Museum, turn on Spit Road and park on dike for a walk down dike and Woodpecker Trail. Both walks will start at 10 a.m. Contact Joyce for details on 604-898-5594.

- The Friday Morning Walking Group will have a stroll at the Dog Pound on Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. More info at 604-815-0152.
