Relatives have identified the Squamish woman who was found dead on Tuesday in town as Raena Henry (Harry), daughter of well-known former Squamish Nation councillor and hereditary Chief Dale Harry.

She worked at Hilltop House, sources say.

Police were called to a suite in the 3700-block of Third Avenue in downtown on March 27 at about 1 p.m., where she was found deceased, Squamish RCMP said.

A spokesperson for the BC Coroners Service said it is in the early stages of investigating a death matching this description, but said it was too early to say the cause of death.

**Please note, the last name of Raena has been clarified since this story was first posted.
