This is the second weekend in succession that we have visited the Squamish area and on both occasions, we have seen Elk crossing the road about six kilometres from the junction with the main highway at Alice Lake.
On our most recent visit, we saw eight crossing the road and are concerned with the speed that other drivers were driving — seemingly unconcerned with the effect of colliding with animals weighing more than 1,000 pounds. -Christopher Kay, North Vancouver
