LETTER: Scary Squamish editorial last week

Regarding “ Conspiracy theories are hurting us all, Squamish ,” published Dec. 10, it is a very sad day when those of us who want to be able to research and check facts are accused of being conspiracy theorists.

Regarding “Conspiracy theories are hurting us all, Squamish,” published Dec. 10, it is a very sad day when those of us who want to be able to research and check facts are accused of being conspiracy theorists. Just because there may be a difference of opinion regarding the crisis we are presently in, does not make people conspiracy theorists! The last I checked Canada is still a free country, with access to various information, freedom of speech, and opinions.

I find the last three paragraphs in this editorial to be deeply disturbing. It is encouraging people to believe unconditionally, not question in any way,  and report those who don’t.

What a scary statement.  It is articles and editorials like this that hurt us all.
