Photos: International award-winning Shaughnessy home has had nearly $7M cut from price

Inspired by the elements, it's got a waterfall, custom art and two kitchens along with a spa, gym, movie theatre and swimming pool.

Built in 2020, a west side Vancouver mansion known as 'Elements Estate' has caught the eye of more than just a couple of people.

The Shaughnessy home, at 1438 W 32 Ave., has a beautiful exterior, but it's the interior that's gotten attention.

The home's interior was inspired by five elements: earth, fire, water, metal, and wood. Those elements were used by T. Jones Group and Sublime Interior Design and led them to create an award-winning space with a waterfall, custom art, and two kitchens along with a spa, gym, movie theatre, and swimming pool.

It won three Canadian awards from the International Property Awards (including best interior and best residential property for 2020) and two more from the Homebuilders Association Vancouver. It also won interior design categories at the International Design & Architecture Awards and Titan Property Awards.

Despite the wins, the property doesn't appear to be selling. In 2020 it was listed for $23.88 million. Then, in 2021 it was relisted for $21.88 million; in a recent, updated listing, the luxury home is going for $16.988 million. That's just shy of $7 million off the price.

BC Assessment shows the property hasn't sold in the last three years; they assessed the property at $17.1 million this past year (down from $19 million in 2022).

"Exquisite design, master craftsmanship, and opulent finishes blend seamlessly to create an international masterpiece while embracing the security and convenience of today’s modern indoor-outdoor lifestyle," states the listing from realtor Malcolm Hasman.
