Local fighter Gwyn Berry took the win at the All Martial Arts Championship (AMA) 33 on Feb 22.
Berry took a swift win, dispatching his opponent Jesse Bull within 26 seconds of the first round.
A well-executed arm bar did the trick.
“We exchanged a few punches, then he took me down,” he wrote to The Chief. “That’s when I locked in a straight arm bar from my back.”
The win has elevated Berry to the top of the 155-pound amateur weight class in that league.
